2025: Year of the Crow

If you’ve been following me for some time, you know that each year I receive a spirit animal as a way of guiding others through the energetic (collective) themes for the year.

Here are a few notes I felt called to share:

• Crows are among the most spiritual and mystical of all spirit animals. They are highly intuitive, intelligent, and perceptive. Their intelligence has been compared to that of a seven-year-old child, and they—along with ravens and other corvids—are the only non-primates capable of making tools. If you work in the healing or creative arts in any capacity, don’t be surprised if your gifts become more accurate and heightened. This year, it will be critical for all of us to listen closely to our intuition, paying attention to anything that feels “off” and honoring what feels “right,” even if we don’t yet understand why.

• The crow will be especially helpful in guiding us with strategy, both individually and collectively—if we remain open to its wisdom.

• Crows represent the element of air, which means that changes, events, and situations may unfold quickly and without notice. It will be incredibly important to stay attuned to the state of our minds throughout the year. Mental boundaries will be key, and meditation or mindfulness practices will provide much-needed support.

• Above all, this year carries a deeply spiritual energy. It will reveal where we have placed our hope, trust, and security, testing the integrity of these foundations. We will continue to be called to reflect inwardly.

• A key phrase to remember: “Where there is a will, there is a way.”
