Subtle
Not always, but the majority of the time—yes, its subtle. Slow, steady, and subtle.
Of course, there are those grand moments. There will be the celebrations, the graduations and opportunities that will showcase your growth. Sometimes, these moments you won’t see coming, other times, you were working hard and steady towards them all along. They will happen and its important to ride their wave as high as you can. Its important to allow these moments to refill your cup, to keep you going, to put a smile on your face and allow your energy to be renewed.
And then, on your way down from that wave…from that high, trust that other moments will come. Trust that, possibly, they will be even bigger and better. But whatever you do, don’t cling, don’t create an appetite tailored solely to these moments, for they are seasonal and special.
This, Our Daily Bread.
The bread, the nutrients that you need for not just your physical, but your spiritual well-being—arrives each day, fresh and anew. This provision may be harder to see and understand, in the beginning. But over time you begin to receive a word or words that you need—you know you needed it because suddenly your energy shifts. You receive a smile exactly when you needed it. Somehow, the money you needed to pay that bill, finds you. An animal spirit crosses your path just when you needed the inspiration and energy to keep going. The idea or creativity you needed comes to you in just the right time.
These moments are synchronistic. As you grow, as you tailor your spirit to trusting more, you will recognize your intimate connection with the things you need. You begin to worry less because you are focused on trusting…on believing.
If you are having trouble here, reflect back on the moments in your life when things worked out or came together when you thought they wouldn’t. Don’t take the moments that your doubting was proved wrong for granted…
Internal Shifts.
You may notice your response to that person isn’t quite what it used to be. Your emotional volatility doesn’t last as long. You may poke and prode at the bear inside of you, just to see, to make sure what you feel is true—but nothing happens. Indeed, you are growing, changing, and healing…subtly.
One day, you realize your mind isn’t as anxious at night. You fall asleep without needing to talk yourself out of sabotaging your days’ efforts. You start to recognize a confident readiness to share your thoughts and opinions.
You begin to notice you’re much more present. Your mind isn’t fighting with the past or anxious about what needs to be done tomorrow or in the far future. You are growing appreciative of your past and you’re excited about where your growth is taking you—but you know the present is where life happens. You are content, in love really, with this very moment.
You smile for no reason. You dance and sing for no reason. You see something different, something beautiful in your eye when you look in the mirror. You wonder, you begin to question—but then you remember that its the work you’re doing within yourself.
